Dissemination of Information and Education Regarding Land Rights and Dispute Prevention in Liu Village, Majauleng District, Wajo Regency

Land issues at the village level do not always start from open conflict, but can be initiated by unclear status of rights, land parcel boundaries, ownership documents, or irregular land transfer processes. This condition shows the importance of strengthening public understanding as a preventive measure before problems develop into disputes. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge and awareness of the people of Liu Village, Majauleng District, Wajo Regency, regarding land rights as well as building a practical understanding of preventing land disputes. Activities are carried out with an educational-participatory approach through socialization, interactive discussions, case studies, and evaluation using pre-test and post-test. The material includes types and evidence of land rights, registration and administrative procedures, clarity of land parcel boundaries, transactions and inheritance, factors causing disputes, as well as preventive steps and dispute resolution. Based on the evaluation results of 20 participants, the average participant understanding increased from 47.5% in the pre-test to 86.0% in the post-test, or an increase of 38.5 percentage points. The most prominent improvement is in the understanding of dispute prevention efforts. The results of the activity show that legal education combined with case examples that are close to people's lives can strengthen land literacy and encourage awareness to be more orderly in land management, transactions and administration. It is hoped that this activity will be the first step in strengthening the culture of awareness of land law at the village level.
